Police: Death Of Rosemount Couple Ruled Murder-Suicide

ROSEMOUNT, Minn. (WCCO) — Police have ruled the incident in which a married couple was found dead in Rosemount as a murder-suicide.

According to Rosemount police, 32-year-old Steven Lee Vasey Jr. received multiple gunshot wounds, and Melissa Vasey, 31, suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

There were no indications of a struggle between the couple, and there were no prior calls to the residence, police said.

Police had been called to the home on the 2900 block of 146th Street West at 5:48 p.m. on Oct. 8 as part of a welfare check.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the continuing investigation.
