MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in Andover are looking for at least one suspect after a string of arson fires in the city over the last three days.

Authorities said fires have been intentionally set to both occupied and unoccupied single family homes that are concentrated to one neighborhood in Andover. Police said there have been four fires set so far and the damage the homes have suffered ranges from minimal to moderate.

Police said the fires have been set in the area east of Hanson Boulevard in the 152nd to 158th blocks near Yellowpine Street and the surrounding area.

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said it’s dedicating all of its available resources to investigate fires to find out who is responsible. Authorities said residents of the area should keep an eye out for suspicious activity after dark and call 911 if they see anything.

The incidents are under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at (763) 323-5000.
