MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Ferris State, Colgate and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will join Minnesota in the Gophers’ 23rd annual Mariucci Classic.
The matchups were announced Monday.
Ferris State and RPI kick off the tournament at 4 p.m. on Jan. 3, with Minnesota following against Colgate at 7 p.m.
The winners of both Friday matchups will face off on Saturday as will the losing teams. The Gophers will play in the 7 p.m. game on Saturday regardless of the outcome of Friday’s games, with the first game of the day set for 4 p.m.
Minnesota is 6-0-0 all-time against Colgate. The last time the two teams met was in 2001. The Gophers are 3-1-1 against Ferris State and 9-2-0 against RPI.
