BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A 39-year-old Minnesota man who Idaho State Police say had more than 3 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle has been taken into custody.

Police say they pulled over Edward Kendrick of Walker, Minn., about 11 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 86 near American Falls in eastern Idaho following a traffic violation.

Police say they found the marijuana in the 2013 Ford Fusion Kendrick was driving.

Kendrick is being held in the Power County Jail and faces charges of trafficking a controlled substance and felony possession of marijuana.
