MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesotans who have been praying for an up-close-and-personal look at Miley Cyrus's twerking abilities, or lack thereof, will not have much longer to wait.

The Xcel Energy Center and Live Nation announced Wednesday that the pop superstar -- and her tongue -- will be performing in St. Paul next March.

Tickets will go on sale for Cyrus's Bangerz Tour on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Xcel Energy Center box office and at Ticketmaster outlets.

Cyrus has been a fixture in national headlines since her controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, in which she impersonated a dancing teddy bear on acid trying to touch its ear with its tongue and using the power of twerk to create enough momentum to complete the task, according to observers.

This is the second time the singer-performance artist formerly known as Hannah Montana will perform at the "X," as she is also scheduled to perform on Tuesday, Dec. 10 as part of the KDWB Jingle Ball 2013.

Cyrus's "We Can't Stop" was a number one single this summer, and her follow-up "Wrecking Ball" has been one of the most-played tracks on Spotify and YouTube this year.
