MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – You may see some unfamiliar faces at the office today, or they may be familiar because they resemble your co-workers.

LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional networking site, wants younger employees to bring their parents to work on Thursday to see what they do.

The WCCO Morning Show team decided to run with the idea, and everyone brought in their mothers to see how the sausage is made at 4:30 a.m.

After Jamie Yuccas, Natalie Nyhus and Nina Moini introduced their mothers to the set, and Jason DeRusha and Mike Augustyniak established a video connection via Skype, it was time to put them to the morning news test.

While some couldn’t help but add their own editorial takes on the headlines they were reading, others did their best to remain unbiased.

Rather than predict the weather half a country away, Augustyniak’s mother instead got into the spirit(s), contributing her own cocktail recipe for Mike’s Mix.

You can check out their efforts in the video above.
