Gopher Forward Maurice Walker Suspended For 6 Games

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Rich Pitino has yet to coach a regular season game for the Gophers, but he will spend the first six contests without junior forward Maurice Walker, who was suspended on Friday for a “violation of university policy,” according to a university release.

The University of Minnesota hosts Lehigh Friday night in the season opener, just hours after a potential recruit — five-star player Reid Travis — chose Stanford over the Gophers.
