PURPOSE OF POSITION: WCCO-TV’s Internship Program is designed to provide experience for students pursuing careers in television broadcasting. Interns have the opportunity to shadow our staff to learn more about the television business including broadcast news & sports, communications/PR, graphic design and video production, editing and promotion.
Interns are accepted for the spring, summer and fall semesters. Internships are available in the News, Sports, Communications, Graphic Design and Promotional departments. All internships are unpaid.
- Interns must be a junior, senior or graduate student enrolled in an accredited institution and majoring or specializing in a broadcast-related field.
- Interns must arrange the internship through the education institution on a for-credit basis.
- Interns must be available for a minimum of 16 hours per week to participate in one of the internship programs.
- An intern should understand in advance that she/he will not be entitled to wages for the time spent in an internship.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Application deadline is Friday, Nov. 22. Please note any application received after the deadline may not be considered.
