MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Disbelief? Shock? Joy? All of the above apply when it comes to filling up at the gas pump these days.

AAA Minnesota reports an average price of $3 per gallon in the Twin Cities metro area, a level spokeswoman Gail Weinholzer says we haven’t seen in three years:

“I wouldn’t expect prices to continue to fall any further, but perhaps hover a bit where they are, with brief increases for the significant national holidays,” she said.

Weinholzer says even with prices expected to increase over Thanksgiving and Christmas, they should come back down relatively quickly.
