Weather Blog: Fifty Nifty Degrees

It had been 10 days since we had felt the 50s around here.

That all changed Wednesday when we warmed to 50 degrees in the Twin Cities. That is actually seven degrees above average for this time of year (and 22 degrees warmer than Tuesday).

Get used to that feeling as we should stay above average for the next several days. Our winds will be blowing from the southwest, allowing warmer air to parade across the region. Now it will be a few degrees cooler the next few days with more clouds overhead.

This weekend doesn't look as nice as it once did. It will be warm with highs near 50 on Saturday and in the mid-40s Sunday. But a storm system will be passing to the southeast kicking some moisture our way. It will be warm enough to keep it liquid, but you can expect rain this weekend.

At least it won't be as windy as last weekend. Enjoy the milder temps as another arctic blast comes our way on Monday. Highs will be lucky to make it to 30 degrees, and a stiff northwest wind will make it feel worse.
