Working For The Weekend: Entertainment Best Bets
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — As we get ready for the weekend, we want to help you get ready, too. ‘Tis the season for charity and holiday shopping. Here are some events worth adding to your social calendar that are perfect for the season.
It’s a food drive … on wheels. Cranksgiving Minneapolis welcomes folks to take their bikes for a fun day fighting hunger. The event started in New York City and has made its way to the Twin Cities. This year, bicyclists will meet at Gold Medal Park at 12:30 p.m. Riders will hit up local grocers to shop for food-shelf items. At the end of the ride, hang out at Sisters Camelot where there will be treats and hot drinks!
K9’s Gone Savage
Also this weekend, it’s K9’s Gone Savage! Head to Psycho Suzi’s Motor Lounge Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for a Luau to help raise money for protective gear for these highly trained dogs. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to meet these incredible animals and their handlers.

Holiday shoppers, listen up. If you’re looking for great deals, you’ll want to check out the Delish Foods Warehouse Sale. Thanksgiving apps, hostess gifts and stocking stuffers will be available at up to 50 percent off. The sale started yesterday and goes through Sunday in Shakopee.
