63-Year-Old Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 63-year-old Richfield man that was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday has been identified.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the pedestrian as Michael Lindholm.

According to the report, Lindholm died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries, as a result of being struck.

Police responded to the fatal crash at 6:07 p.m. at the intersection of 64th Street and Portland Avenue South. Authorities say a 25-year-old woman was traveling in a vehicle southbound on Portland Avenue from 64th Street in the right-hand lane when she hit two pedestrians crossing Portland.

Lindholm was pronounced dead at the scene. A second pedestrian, a 55-year-old Richfield resident, was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.

As of early Monday morning, the 55-year-old victim was in "critical but semi-stable condition," police said.

The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
