MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s Thursday, and if you don’t have weekend plans yet, you’d better pull some together quickly. This weekend, stay out of the cold with a coffee festival and get a jump on your holiday shopping with these events.

MCAD Art Sale
Minnesota’s up-and-coming artists from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design have their annual art sale this weekend. It’s a local tradition and one of the top spots to find afordable and appreciable artwork. All proceed go directly to the artists or MCAD’s scholarship funds. The sale runs Thursday through Saturday with Saturday being the free admission day.

Uptown Coffee Festival
Nothing combats cold temps better than a hot cup of joe. Head to Calhoun Square in Uptown Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For $10, you can sample 35 vendors’ worth of coffees and teas. And you’ll get a free mug for your sipping.

Green Gifts Fair
Get green this holiday season at the Green Gifts Fair. Seventy-five local artists and retailers will be in one place Saturday with hundreds of gifts. The event is at Midtown Global Market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
