2 Adults, 2 Kids Safe After Minneapolis Home Catches Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said four people were able to get out safely after a home in north Minneapolis caught fire Friday morning.

Authorities responded to the 2700 block of Morgan Avenue North at about 2 a.m. on a report of a fire on the second floor of a home. When crews got to the scene, smoke was showing from the attic vents and the upper floor windows of the home.

Authorities said it took a while, but crews were able to contain the fire and the house sustained significant damage. Fire officials said two adults and two children were home at the time of the fire, but they got out safely.

Fire officials are investigating what caused the blaze, and the American Red Cross is stepping in to provided assistance to the residents.
