Man Found Dead In South Minneapolis Alley

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police are investigating after a man was found dead in an alley in south Minneapolis Friday morning.

Officers were sent to the 100 block of 39th Street West at about 11 a.m. Friday. When they arrived, they found the body of an adult male, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was later identified as 24-year-old Derek Allen Holt.

Investigators said that Holt had evidently sustained a head injury.

Homicide investigators say there is no information on possible suspects, and no one has been taken into custody.
