Vikings CB Cook Ejected For Contact With Official

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook has been ejected against Chicago for making contact with an official.

Cook was in coverage on Alshon Jeffery when the Bears wide receiver jumped over Cook for a 46-yard touchdown pass at the front corner of the end zone. Cook confronted side judge Laird Hayes and appeared to inadvertently hit Hayes as he motioned with his arm. Cook was called for a 15-yard penalty and the automatic disqualification in the third quarter with the Bears up 20-10.

Cook was upset two plays earlier, lobbying for a penalty after a deep throw when Jeffery knocked a potential interception out of Cook's hands.

With Josh Robinson injured, Xavier Rhodes, Marcus Sherels and Shaun Prater were the only healthy cornerbacks left for the Vikings.
