Police: 1 In Custody After Shots Fired In St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities said one man is in custody after shots were fired in St. Paul Friday night.

Police were called to the 600 block of Ashland Avenue at about 9:06 p.m. Friday on a report of a man with a gun. When authorities arrived, they located the man who then ran from the scene. During the pursuit, police shot shots were fired. Nobody was hit or injured.

Authorities said it's not clear whether the suspect or officer fired the shots, or both. Police said the suspect was taken into custody a short time later, and the suspect's gun was recovered. Nobody was injured in the incident, which is still under investigation.
