Bitter Cold Not Fun For Folks Who Work Outside

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - While health experts are warning people to stay out of the bitter cold if possible, there are some that are forced to withstand the elements because of their jobs.

Bike messenger John Lindwall employs a simple strategy when the temperature and wind chill get to be too much.

"Just don't think about it, you know," Lindwall said. "Put it out of your mind."

He says he's been doing the job for about three years, and the key is to layer up on clothes and get a good face mask.
