Police: Man Dies After South Mpls. Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A man is dead after being found on the city's south side early Wednesday morning with an apparent gunshot wound, police say.

Officers found the man lying in the street on the 2600 block of Pleasant Avenue South after responding to call in the area just before 1 a.m., the Minneapolis Police Department says.

The victim, who has not been identified, was brought to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he later died.

No arrests have been made, and the city's homicide unit is investigating.
