Victims Identified From Western Wis. Fatal Crash

PRESCOTT, Wis. (AP) — A third child has died from injuries suffered in a collision between a truck and an SUV near Prescott in western Wisconsin.

The Pierce County medical examiner says 5-year-old Laynie Jo Amos, of Amery, died around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Laynie's cousins, 11-year-old Lydia Milberg, of Centuria, and 5-year-old Clara Pavek, of Prescott, died Thursday.

Thirty-two-year-old Kari Milberg, who is Lydia's mother, was in critical condition at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn. Her 3-year-old son suffered minor injuries.

The crash happened Thursday on Wisconsin Highway 35 near Prescott. Sheriff Nancy Hove said Friday that the SUV spun into the path of a truck, and investigators were trying to determine whether roadway conditions were a factor.

The truck driver and his two passengers were not hurt.
