Friends, Family Gather To Remember Slain Couple
IRON RIVER, Wis. (AP) — A couple hundred people gathered at the VFW post in Iron River to celebrate the lives of a couple who were slain.
Jim Crain says he hopes the community remembers his grandparents, Jim and Eunice Crain, for the loving people they were, instead of how they died. Crain says family and friends gathered Sunday to celebrate his grandparents' lives, not to mourn.
WDIO-TV says family and friends wore green and gold because the Crains were huge Green Bay Packers fans. They traded stories about the couple lives as a man played a guitar and sang some of the Crains favorite songs.
The couple's son has been charged in Bayfield County with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide.
