Top Minn. Politicians Aim For $108K For Food Shelf

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Some power players in Minnesota politics are raising money, but not for the next campaign. They’re after at least $108,000 for northern Minnesota food shelves.

Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk was hosting Thursday’s event in a downtown St. Paul pub. Gov. Mark Dayton was also expected to attend.

It’s the seventh year for the “Stock the Shelves” fundraiser benefiting the Arrowhead Region food shelves.

A prominent lobbying firm and companies that often have issues before state lawmakers are listed as sponsors.
