MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s the end of an era.

With its 32-year life coming to an end on Sunday, we took a look back at some of the best memories at the Metrodome.

The dome, which opened on April 3, 1982, was home to not only the Minnesota Vikings — who play its final game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday — but the Minnesota Twins, before Target Field’s introduction.

From Kirby Puckett’s Game 6 homerun to Game 163, Gary Anderson’s missed kick to Brett Favre’s ‘Minneapolis Miracle’ — here’s a recap of some of the best moments, including a number of memories broadcast on WCCO Radio.
