Sheriff: 1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Andover Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One person was killed and another was hurt after a shooting in Andover, Minn. overnight.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office said they responded to the 2200 block of 138th Lane Northwest at about 4 a.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived, they found a 43-year-old woman dead of apparent gunshot wounds. They also found an injured 42-year-old man who had also been shot.

The man was taken to the hospital where his injuries were deemed non-life threatening

The names of the two victims were not immediately released, but they were said to be residents at the address who moved there recently.

The sheriff's office said there are no suspects being sought in the incident, which remains under investigation. Authorities said it appears that the incident was "limited in scope to the occupants of that home."

Paul Sommer with the Anoka County Sheriff's Office said there is no known safety risk to the general public.
