MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are looking for a suspect after a convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon in the north Twin Cities metro.

Police responded to the Pines Market at 2A South Pine Drive in Circle Pines at about 3 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a robbery at gunpoint. Authorities said the suspect is described as a white man between 20 and 40 years old with medium brown hair. He was wearing a gray hoodie-style sweatshirt with blue lettering, medium to dark blue plants and light colored gloves.

Police said the suspect displayed a chrome revolver inside the store and got away with an undetermined amount of merchandise and cash before fleeing in a bright red vehicle with a spoiler or “wing” on the trunk. Authorities said they believe the car was a 2000 to 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The driver of that car was another white male with a similar age and dark hair.

Centennial Lakes Police is investigating the incident along with authorities in Blaine and Lino Lakes. Authorities said there is no danger to the public and it was an isolated incident. Anyone with suspect information should call Centennial Lakes Police at (763) 784-2501.
