MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — As we get ready for the weekend, we want to help you get ready too. Here are some events worth adding to your social calendar.

Traxxas Snocross Race — Canterbury Park
The world’s top snowmobile racers will put on an extreme show of speed and skill in Shakopee this weekend at the Canterbury Park Traxxas Snocross race. Don’t miss your chance to see this winter action from the warm and comfort of the Canterbury Grandstand. General Admission tickets start at $15.

Ice Fest — Breezy Point
At Breezy Point Resort you can celebrate winter this weekend at Ice Fest. Enjoy a bonfire, ice fishing, or ride dog sleds and snowmobiles at this event. Plus, just because it’s winter doesn’t mean you can sneak in eight — snow golf will also be available.

Land O’Lakes Kennel Club Kennel Dog Show — St. Paul RiverCentre
It’s the dog days at the St. Paul RiverCentre this weekend for the Land O’Lakes Kennel Club Dog Show. Ever watch the National Dog Show competition that airs Thanksgiving Day? This weekend is your chance to see something similar live and in person. More than 2,000 groomed, pampered, and adored pups from 150 breeds will be on hand to compete for Best in Show.
