SrA James Shedd is currently assigned to Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. With the persistence of his father, he joined the Air Force shortly after graduating from Maple Grove Senior high in 2008.

James is a Fuels Specialist. His field is responsible for proper accounting of fuel, issuing of liquid oxygen & liquid nitrogen, fueling aircraft, managing pipelines and quality assurance of fuel.

James played a vital role in Operation Odyssey Dawn of early 2011. His home base at the time, Aviano Air Base, took on extra aircraft which required the Fuels team to work harder to ensure extra aircraft received fuel. Towards then end of Operation Odyssey Dawn James was sent to Moron Air Base, Spain for 3 months to support the aircraft heading back home.
