Rybak: I Had More Heart Damage At Prom

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak is taking to the internet to say "thank you," and share he's healthier than he has been in years.

Rybak suffered a heart attack two weeks ago after cross-country skiing.

In his blog, he joked he has no permanent damage, unless you count the shirt they cut off of him.

He revealed he won't be skiing the City of Lakes Loppet this year, but he plans to get back to his exercise regimen soon.

Rybak says all of his arteries are unblocked, and he has more energy than ever.

He has slowly been returning to work and says he has begun planning the class he's teaching this semester at the University of Minnesota.
