MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Several crews battled a fire Tuesday evening in west-central Minnesota  after a potato warehouse went up in flames.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office said R.D. Offutt Company employees in Perham, Minn., noticed smoke coming from the 200-foot-by-300-foot warehouse shortly after 4:20 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke billowing up from the warehouse, which contained an unknown amount of potatoes.

No one has been reported hurt, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.

The fire is under investigation.

Perham is about 180 miles northwest of Minneapolis.
