MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Brooklyn Park that sent one person to the hospital.

The Brooklyn Park Police Department is working with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office to determine what led up to the shooting late Saturday night.

According to the preliminary findings, officers were dispatched to a large fight on the 7300 block of Lakeland Avenue North around 11:12 p.m. Saturday.

After officers arrived on scene, shots were fired by an officer and one person was injured. That person was sent to the hospital in an unknown condition.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
