BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (WCCO) – Brooklyn Park Police have identified the officer involved in Saturday night’s shooting, which sent a 22-year-old man to the hospital.

Officer Jason Chadbourne shot Shoua Yang, who was involved in a large fight on the 7300 block of Lakeland Ave North shortly after 11 p.m.

Yang was later charged with second-degree assault by the Hennepin County Attorney’s office.

Chadbourne has worked for Brooklyn Park Police since April 2013.
