MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – State transportation officials encouraged drivers to avoid using northbound Interstate 35E in St. Paul Tuesday evening as the pavement had buckled, creating a hazard on the roadway.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation said the hazard was on I-35E near the Arlington Avenue. Drivers were advised to avoid the area for the next few hours and expect delays.

MnDOT crews were on the scene following rush hour, making repairs.
