Authorities ID Woman Pulled From Mississippi In Wabasha

WABASHA, Minn. (WCCO) -- The body of a 49-year-old woman was recovered from the Mississippi River in Wabasha, Minn.

On Thursday morning, officers were summoned to the river just south of the Eagle Center on Lawrence Boulevard after being alerted that someone may have gone off the ice and into the river.

Dive teams were called to the scene and worked to retrieve the victim.

At about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, teams pulled the woman's body from the river.

On Friday morning, officials identified the woman as Nancee Kretschmer of Wabasha, Minn.
