MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office says the body of a 36-year-old Staples woman was discovered in the snow outside an apartment building.

On Tuesday, officers responding to a deceased body report discovered Anna Eakle’s body near the Country Terrance Apartments in Motley. Her body was found lying in a depression in the snow, according to the sheriff’s office.

Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel says there is no immediate indication of foul play and there is no reason for the residents of Motley to be fearful.

Eakle’s body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to discover her exact cause of death.

The sheriff’s office and Motley Police are continuing the investigation.
