MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – If it wasn’t already cold enough outside, some brave people decided to make themselves even colder.

Thousands decided to take the plunge for a good cause.

Around 4,200 registered online for the Minneapolis Polar Bear Plunge on Lake Calhoun.

The event has been going on for 17 years.

Just through online pledges, they’ve raised more than a million dollars.
