Working For The Weekend: Entertainment Best Bets

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The weekend is almost upon us, so it’s time to start planning. You can see the latest and greatest in cars, crawl your way through an art exhibit or tap into your inner Italian with these events.

Italian Film Festival
When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s a film fest. Get in the Italian spirit this weekend at the Italian Film Festival with this year’s host — WCCO’s Frank Vascellaro. From the suburbs of Rome to shimmering Venice, enjoy a trip to Italy through film. All films are hosted by the Film Society of Minneapolis-St. Paul and screened at the St. Anthony Main Theatre.

Twin Cities Auto Show
Satisfy your need for speed at the 41st Annual Twin Cities Auto Show this weekend at the Minneapolis Convention Center. See more than 450 domestic and imported cars, trucks and SUVs and more all in one place. There’s plenty for the kids to do with Radio Disney on site, but Minnesota Wild Players will also be meeting and greeting those in attendance.

Edina Art Crawl
You can also experience local art at its finest Saturday at the Edina Art Crawl. Head to 50th and France for the unveiling of store window displays, and meet the artists who created them. This is a free event.
