Crews Repairing Rogers Water Main Break

ROGERS, Minn. (WCCO) -- People living in Rogers are being warned about a water main break in the city, according to officials.

The break was so severe that Rogers' water system experienced a dramatic draw down, draining the city's four water towers in the process.

The source of the leak, located by a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter, was a holding pond behind Camping World at 21200 Rogers Drive.

Crews are repairing the break, and officials say storage tanks are being refilled. A sufficient emergency fire flow is also in place.

Officials say residents and businesses may temporarily see brown or rusty water when turning on their faucets.
