Sugar on Snow Party
Tamarack Nature Center near St. Paul is holding its annual Sugar on Snow Party Saturday to celebrate the start of the spring maple syrup season. You will learn all the steps that go into making fresh maple syrup, from helping to tap maple trees, to running the evaporator, to tasting the final product. Participants will also enjoy Sugar on Snow, the Vermont maple syrup tradition of eating fresh hot syrup over snow, where it forms a taffy-like texture. The party is open to all ages.
