MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A FedEx delivery truck and a freight train collided Friday afternoon in Yellow Medicine County, Police say.

The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s office responded to a 911 call that a FedEx delivery truck and BNSF train crashed around 2 p.m. at the rail crossing with Yellow Medicine County Road 39.

Officials said the driver of the FedEx truck, a 46-year-old man, was first taken to Granite Falls hospital. He was then airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center.

The condition of the driver is unknown.

A conductor and an engineer were the only people on the train. They were not hurt.
