Driver Rescued After Rolling Truck Into Water-Filled Ditch

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 57-year-old Litchfield woman had to be rescued from an overturned truck in a water-filled ditch Tuesday evening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The incident was reported around 6 p.m. near Highway 7 and 200th Street.

Sgt. Jesse Grabow says the vehicle ran off the road and rolled into a water-filled ditch. The driver was able to keep his or her head above water while trapped in the vehicle until rescued.

The driver, identified as Debra Decker, was then transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Grabow said.

Grabow says road conditions were snowy and icy.
