MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a body found earlier this week near Theodore Wirth Park is that of a Minneapolis woman who had been missing for the last month.

Golden Valley Police were called to the area of Wirth Parkway and Plymouth Avenue on Tuesday on a report of a body found near a set of railroad tracks. When officers arrived, they determined the person was dead.

The body was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office and has been identified as 46-year-old Elle Sachs. She had been reported missing on Feb. 17 and was last seen on the 1500 block of Xerxes Avenue.

Her cause of death remains under investigation.
