MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Now that we’re finally getting out of winter, a lot of us will start our spring cleaning. That includes getting your finances tied up.
However, it’s also tax season, so the last thing you may feel like doing is crunching more numbers. But that’s also why it’s a perfect time to get your finances in check, because you have all that information on hand.
Experts say now is the time to set a budget, if you don’t have one.
You also should check your credit report, and look for any mistakes or accounts that could be fraudulent.
You also may want to un-clutter your system for paying credit cards, utilities and other bills. Think about creating an online calendar with due dates, set up automatic reminders so you aren’t hit with late fees that can add up.
