Two Harbors Man Pleads Guilty To Stabbing, Killing Duluth Landlord

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 42-year-old Two Harbors man pleaded guilty to stabbing and killing a Duluth landlord inside his Central Hillside apartment, according to the St. Louis County Courthouse.

On Thursday, Raymond Charles Weeks specifically pleaded guilty to second-degree intentional murder in connection to the Dec. 21, 2012 killing of 54-year-old Kevin John Tyman, who died in a hospital hours after suffering a single stab wound that lacerated his liver.

Weeks' co-defendant, 32-year-old Joella Lee Tucker of Duluth, pleaded guilty earlier March to aiding and abetting second-degree murder for her role in Tyman's death. She implicated Weeks at her plea hearing, saying she say him stab Tyman and that he told her that the victim "would bleed out in five minutes" after he stabbed him.

As part of Weeks' plea agreement, he agreed to serve a guideline sentence of 30 years in prison.
