Driving Ranges Open For the First Time This Season

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Several golf courses in the metro area opened for the first time this season.

The Columbia Driving Range in Minneapolis was one of those to open and was a popular place for some folks to enjoy the weather.

Golfers were phoning their buddies early this morning with the news.

“He called me at about 9:30 a.m. and said, you know, the weather is nice, golf course is open. It’s been a pretty bad winter, I was pretty eager to get out and spend some time in the sun,” golfer Aditya Gansh said.

Golf course officials said they stocked up on extra golf balls because they’ll have to wait until that snow melts to go out and collect them.
