MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — At the start of each month, the WCCO Morning Show likes to give you a spending forecast, so here is the inside scoop on what experts say are the best things to buy in April.
First and foremost, spring is a good time to buy a house. According to Bankrate, prices aren’t quite as low as they can get during winter, but there’s a larger selection because it is a popular time to sell. Many families start buying and selling this time of year so kids have time to make a transition over summer vacation.
Next, it is spring cleaning time. Now is a good time to buy what you want and sell or donate what you don’t need. If you’re thrifty, places like Salvation Army will get lots of new items this time of year.
If you need a vacation since it is still cold in Minnesota, April is hot time to book a cruise. Dealnews says April isn’t a traditional vacation month since most spring break vacations have passed, so you might score a deal.
The fourth and final bargain of the month: sneakers. According to discount hunters at Lifehacker, this time of year is when less serious runners get back in shape, making it a great time to take advantage of some sales.
