Police Seek Suspect After 3 Shot In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police said they are looking for at least one suspect after as many as three people were shot in south Minneapolis early Friday morning.

Minneapolis Police were called to the 3500 block of 5th Avenue South just after 1 a.m. When authorities arrived, they learned a suspect had approached a vehicle in the area with three people inside and shot all three.

All three were taken to North Memorial Medical Center, two with non-life-threatening injuries and one with serious injuries, according to officials.

Police said several shots were fired in the incident. One of the victims was found inside the vehicle, which has since been towed to the forensics garage for analysis.

Police said they are following up on leads, but don't believe this was a random act.

There are no suspects in custody, and anyone with information about the incident should call Minneapolis Police.
