MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Lindsey Vonn is the most decorated skier in American history, and it all got started for her at Buck Hill in Burnsville.

Vonn has won Olympic gold, gone through significant injuries and is currently in a relationship with golfer Tiger Woods, one of the most popular athletes in the world. Vonn was back in Minnesota on Sunday for a community appearance at Hoigaard’s, and WCCO-TV’s David McCoy spent some time talking various topics with her.

She said when she returns, it brings back memories of skiing with her father and the rest of her family. She also called skiing, the sport she loves, an “occupational hazard” when it comes to the injuries she has persevered through — that includes having surgery, which caused her to miss the Sochi Winter Olympics.

Watch the interview to see what’s next for Vonn.
