'Get Your Rear In Gear' Run/Walk Celebrates 10th Year

EDINA, Minn. (WCCO) -- Colon cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the nation and on Sunday, thousands are doing their part to raise awareness of the disease.

More than 4,000 people participated in the 10th annual Get Your Rear in Gear Walk/Run Sunday morning near Southdale Center.

The event raised more than $250,000 for colon cancer awareness.

Funding doesn't go to research, rather education on colon cancer symptoms and the importance of early detection.
