ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — After winning the 2018 Super Bowl, Minnesota is going after the NCAA Final Four.

Gov. Mark Dayton, Minnesota business leaders and sports celebrities are scheduled to announce Minnesota’s bid for the Final Four at a state Capitol news conference Tuesday.

Last month, the NFL chose Minneapolis to host the 2018 Super Bowl. Minneapolis was chosen largely because of the $1 billion stadium being built where the Metrodome used to stand.

In July, Major League Baseball’s All-Star game will be played at Target Field.
