MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Emergency crews found a man dead Friday afternoon and caught in a piece of farm machinery near an airport in southern Minnesota.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a 911 call from the Dodge Center Airport at around 2 p.m. The caller told authorities they’d seen someone lying under a hay machine, not moving.

When emergency crews arrived, they found the man dead and pinned under the equipment.

The man’s name will not be released until his family has been notified.

The incident is under investigation by the sheriff’s office and the medical examiner’s office.

The airport is about 80 miles south of the Twin Cities.
